DESTINY

AISHA'S POV

**Past**

Abirrrr!! How do I look? Mai zyada moti toh nhi lag rhi na? Do I look good? I asked him while twirling around in my lehenga.

"No, jaan! You look perfect, and you're mine," he said, making me blush as he hugged me.

"I can't wait to see your final look in our wedding, pumpkin. You look like a goddess here; I hope I won't die after seeing you in your wedding lehenga. Imagining it already has me swooning; I wonder what will happen on that day," he said, placing his hand on his chest near his heart and smiling.

God, I love his smile. It's the only thing I could die to see. I can't wait to officially be his; he is the moonlight to my darkness. If he's there, then I am.

Agar Kabir Singhania hai  tabhi  Aisha Malhotra hai

"I love you, Kabir," I said in a low tone."I love you too, my pumpkin, and I'll always love you, meri jaan."

**Present**

Tears welled up in my eyes after seeing him again after 4 years. He has changed, becoming more handsome and muscular, but I couldn't find my old Kabir, my Kabir. His eyes held no emotions for me, as if I never existed, and he never knew me. Why does it hurt so much? All our sweet memories came flooding back, tears on the edge of my eyes waiting to fall.

"Ms. Malhotra, please come and sit. I don't have the whole day," I heard him saying in a harsh tone.

I quickly wiped my tears and moved towards the chair, sitting on it.

"Abir...," I stuttered.

"Good morning, Ms. Malhotra, and I would like to correct you. It's 'sir' for you," he said, stressing on the word 'sir' in a serious tone.

"Yes, sir. Good morning!" I replied.

"So, Ms. Malhotra, let's start the interview, shall we?" he asked me in a blank tone.

"Yes, sir," I politely answered.

"Your qualifications, marks, sports, speaking skills, frankness, and trustworthiness are impressive, ur resume is no doubt really good.
lekin in sab se kya mila tumhe?.. ye sab toh mere sath rehke bhi mil jaata.. he said in an almost unaudible tone.

After hearing his words, it felt like someone stabbing my heart with knives.

"Why should I hire you? What's special about you?" he asked, stabbing into my heart again.

"Well, I might not be experienced, but you can rely on me. I'm very passionate, hardworking, as you've seen in my resume. Plus, I know you very well, so I can handle you. I'm trustworthy, a multitasker, and a good listener," I finished.

"Trustworthy? You know me? You can handle me?" he laughed sarcastically. "You think that, Ms. Malhotra? If you think that, you're really wrong. You don't know me, and you can't handle me. I'm not the same anymore. You broke me, and now it's my time. Trustworthy? No, Ms. Malhotra. I've already made that mistake once; I won't do it again," he finished in a dangerous tone, and tears brimmed in my eyes.

"Congratulations, Ms. Malhotra. You're hired as my personal assistant. You can still back off; no one will stop you. And before your final decision, think properly. I hope you won't leave like you did 4 years ago."

I was going to deny, but my phone rang, and my mother's name flashed on it.

"Can I take this call, sir? It might be urgent," I asked, and he nodded.

I picked up the call. "Ma, what happened? I was in the inter-" My mother's words cut me off, leaving me numb.

"Okay, Ma, don't worry. I'll arrange the money. I'll take care of it," I said quickly and ended the call.

"Okay, I'll be your PA, but I have a condition. Please don't deny," I asked with hope, but his expression remained stoic.

"Sure, what's the condition?" he asked.

"I want my 6 months' salary in advance for some personal reasons," I said in a low voice.

"Can I know those reasons, Ms. Malhotra? I don't trust you much," he said, and tears welled in my eyes.

"My father and brother met with an accident, and they are in a serious condition. The doctors asked for payment before starting the treatment and operation."

"Okay, Ms. Malhotra. But I have a deal for you, if you're interested," he said.

"Okay, tell me whatever it is, please do it fast," I said, in a hurry.

"The deal is: sign this contract. After signing, you can't resign for at least 3 years. If you do, you have to pay me three times the amount I've paid you. You will listen to whatever I say, and you have to shift to my house. In return, I'll pay all the medical bills of your father and brother."

He said it, and I felt blank. What is he trying to do? But I don't have time. I'll have to live with him. Why? I don't have time.

"Okay, I'll sign. But please, first pay the bills.

I won't run away; I promise," I said.

"I don't like promises, Ms. Malhotra," he said.

"I won't run away. This time, I'm sorry for what I did four years ago."

"Okay, then, Ms. Malhotra," saying this, he dialed someone's number and called them. After finishing the call, just after two minutes, I got a call from my mom. The bills were paid, and the operation had started. After some minutes of talking, I ended the call.

"Thank you so much, Kabir," saying this, I hugged him tightly, not realizing what I was doing.

He got out of my grip and said in a dangerous tone, "Don't try to touch me, Ms. Malhotra, ever again. Sign this contract, and then you can go pack your bags. I'll send drivers and helpers to shift your luggage from your apartment to my mansion, he said tearing my heart apart ."

I signed the contract and then left for home to pack my stuff.
